Our History

In 1988 Capitol Signs was formed to fill the void of a corporate installation and service company in the Central Virginia area.

In January of 2020 Capitol Signs Inc embarked on a new era with former Vice President, Joe Howell, and wife, Jeri Howell, taking on full ownership. History remains in tact as this has been a family business since inception.

Situated only minutes away from Richmond, VA (and Interstates 64, 95, and 295) we have been able to service all of Central, Northern, and Tidewater Virginia for over 35 years.

We have added new equipment and up to date services as the sign industry has evolved and progressed. Giving our customers top quality service and products has always been our priority.

Since inception, our goal has been to provide the corporate client everything necessary to facilitate their expansion and to service their existing sites.

We maintain a “can do” attitude. We understand that during the course of day to day business operations, circumstances may arise beyond your control. In anticipation of this, we keep a flexible installation and service schedule. Our management takes a pro-active stance to ensure every detail is covered.
